First Program in New Series: The City! featuring Council President Aponte

2015 November 18

A Conversation with Luis Aponte, Providence City Council President. On Mon, Nov 30, 7-8:30pm at Rochambeau Branch Community Library, 708 Hope Street, Providence, RI.

Please join us the Monday after Thanksgiving for the inaugural event of our new program series focused on local government, decision makers and politics, “The City.”

The series will provide opportunities for conversations of import with those of our fellow citizens on the frontlines here in Providence and Rhode Island. Hosted by FORL.

Ask Mr. Aponte about the Council’s top priorities, the responsibilities and challenges of heading the City’s legislative branch, or anything else on your mind. This is your chance to talk to one of the elected officials who represents you – please come and be heard.

This conversation in “The City” Events Series will be held at Rochambeau Library in the Community Room, from 7-8:30PM, and is free and open to the public.  If you value programming like this, please consider becoming a member or making a monetary gift to the friends.
