Programming!

The Friends will be helping to bring the following programming to our community in the month ahead:

  • For new and young adults who want to learn more about Tech, the
  • Tableau Workshop for Beginners (learn software to create graphics from data) meets on Tuesday evenings,
  • Learn to Code: A Beginner’s Series also meets on Tuesday evenings and
  • CareerDevs Code Night (Providence’s own computer science academy) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. (Free)

  • Also, Rochambeau has several language learning opportunities each week:
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (Tuesday mornings),
  • Spanish Language (beginner and intermediate – 3 classes) and
  • Italian Conversation with Alessandro (meets Thursday afternoons). (Free)

 

  • Dr. Michael Fine will be presenting a book talk on his latest, Health Care Revolt: How to Organize, Build a Health Care System, and Resuscitate Democracy—All at the Same Time, on Thursday, October 4th at 7pm.

 

  • Look for the Zero Waste Providence Reusable Bag Swap bin at Rochambeau Library. It is part of a pilot project through Zero Waste Providence to encourage Providence residents to use reusable bags.
